10 More Fall Favorites 🍂🥧

Hey there,

I told you there were more, and I meant it! These cozy autumn months are what I wait all year for. The oven is on most evenings and there's often something in the slow cooker by the time I think about lunch.

Here are ten more of my Fall favorites:

SET & FORGET

Crockpot White Chicken Chili

Chicken, white beans, and green chiles cooked low in the slow cooker until it turns thick and creamy. Zesty without being hot, which is why it works for the whole table!

LEFTOVERS

Beef Chili

The other kind of chili! It tastes even better after a night in the refrigerator, so leftovers are a gift.

NEVER DRY

Jiffy Cornbread with Creamed Corn

Cream-style corn and sour cream are what keep this from going dry or crumbly. One bowl, ten minutes of prep, and it's built for chili night!

FALLS APART

Dutch Oven Beef Stew

Old-fashioned in the best sense. The Dutch oven does the work and the beef ends up so tender it falls apart against a spoon.

LAYERS

Flaky Biscuits

These are the ones for the beef stew. Southern buttermilk biscuits with real layers you can pull apart!

READER FAVORITE

Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Chicken and stuffing baked together in one dish, with fifteen minutes of prep and forty-five minutes total. A comfort food classic that families have been making for generations.

3 CHEESES

Amish Hamburger Casserole

Ground beef, egg noodles, and three cheeses in one dish. It's the kind of dinner that disappears without anyone saying anything, which is its own compliment.

5 INGREDIENTS

Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

The squash gets roasted before it goes in, which is where the flavor comes from. Simple ingredients and about an hour and a half, most of it in the oven!

ONE POT

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

One pot and thirty-five minutes, which makes it the fastest meal on this list. This one is a favorite with my boys!

15 MINUTES

Fried Apples

Apple slices cooked in butter with cinnamon and sugar until they go tender and glossy. Fifteen minutes in a skillet.

Almost everything here is better the next day. The chilis, the stew, and both casseroles all reheat well, so making the full batch is never wasted effort.

There's a lot of Fall left, and I have plenty more to share with you!
