Chili Nights: 6 Beef Chilis to Start the Season

Hey there,

There's a difference between making chili and having a chili night. Chili night means the pot's been simmering for a while, the house smells amazing, and everybody’s in a hurry to get to the table because they know what's coming.

I'm starting where I always start, with the beef ones.

Wendy’s Chili

My copycat of the drive-thru version, and far and away the most-made chili on my site. Thick, a little sweet, and it tastes like the one you remember.

Southern Chili

Black eyed peas instead of kidney beans is what makes this one Southern. Two kinds of meat, Creole seasoning, and it's done in under an hour.

Classic Beef Chili

If you want a straightforward pot of chili that never disappoints, this is the one. Ground beef, beans, and an hour and a half on the stove.

Cowboy Chili

Aunt Bee’s version, and there are only five ingredients in it. I’ve never understood how something that simple turns out that good.

Slow Cooker Chili

For the nights you want chili but you're not going to be home to stir anything. Put it on in the morning and let it go!

Chili Con Carne

Keith’s favorite, and the old-school way to do it. Heavy on the meat and not much else getting in the way.

Kitchen Tip: Make more than you think you need. Chili is always better the second day, and it freezes beautifully.

Not a beef household? I've got the chicken, white, and pork versions coming your way next.
